I was downloading some stuff for housebud and fellow smear, mr. pepe prof smear; mp3s from smashing pumpkins, superdrag, etc., and ost’s from great expectations and empire records when I remembered to download my last week’s LSS “As Strong As The Sun.” I thought of introducing Lis to beach music and letting her listen to it. Her verdict was: “Ballroom music yan Dadi?”
And I thought, Ballroom music? Then I let her listen to Ever After, she said it was a more upbeat Ballroom music.
Hell I thought, she had a point with the first song, it did sound like a swing number for a prom. Is the music industry repackaging stuff and relabelling it like some fashion trends that tend to resurface, albeit with a different name? Or did my wife just outwit me this time?

Kudos to Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and Brian “Hawaiian Punch” Villoria, certainly made my day with their impressive wins. And although Manny Pacquiao, aka “Money Pacman” has been weighed and found wanting with his shifting principles; especially when it comes to (more) money, word of honor, and (lack of) delicadeza, I’ll still be rooting for him like the way I root for Kimi Raikonnen, San Antonio Spurs, and Ginebra San Miguel.
And if he loses it’s ok. He’s just like any other athlete today whose only concern is more money. That fiasco with Solar Sports and ABS-CBN showed his true face and color. Shame on him and the lip service to nationalism thru his stinky songs.
But I’ll still root for him come May 3rd. All Hail Money Pacquiao!
