It was a quiet Sunday morning today, I have to get things done and have my weekly haircut. We also have to be with the early morning church service.
Today of all days is the Batlle of East vs West. PacMan Vs Hitman.
Now sitting in the barber’s chair, I was surprised most of the regulars, even my barber seems to be betting on the hitman. I mean I bet they haven’t seen most of Hatton’s fights so why bet on a fighter they barely knew?
And then it was clear, they mentioned his previous fiasco, Manny Pacquiao as Mukhang Pera. Most of the common people were disillusioned with what had happened.
Well however they’re making a big mistake. A BIG mistake. If they could only see the real deal without involving any emotions (you’re betting on a fight and you’re emotional? This is disaster) surely they would bet on the PacMan. Hatton is a 1 dimensional fighter. If they’ll believe with Floydie Sr well, it’s like being taken for a ride by that self confessed “Greatest Trainer in the World”. Should be greatest conman in the world. There’s no way Hatton can change dramatically to counter the good footwork, speed and power of PacMan. And for Mr. Floydie Sr, speed will be the single biggest factor in this game. Yes Manny may be smaller but with that speed, surely Hatton will be down within 4 rounds. Imagine being hit by a car at 5kph versus being hit by a bike at 200kph. That’s speed Mr. Floydie Sr. (my pessismistic side says it will go the distance, PacMan by Unanimous Decision).
All of these were all in just in my head. Common sense dictate you don’t dare argue with your barber, especially when he holds the razor near your jugular.
Well let’s see what round will the Hitman call it quits. Or will he sleeps…
yeah, he did sleep.
It takes some time to cultivate some friendship.
